On the Friday before the Spainwise Fair, employers and other exhibitors arrive at the Botikazar institute in Bilbao throughout the course of the day. Each exhibitor has a floor area of 2m x 2m with an interview table and two chairs.
Each ‘stand’ is made up of six small tables (counters), each measuring 70cm long and 50 cm wide and two chairs. Two of these will be together as a side table/counter (totaling 140cm,‘a’ in the picture) and the another three will be together(totaling 210cm, ‘b’ in the picture) either at the back of the stand (as in the picture) or at the front (as in previous Spainwise fairs). All these tables/counters will be covered with a standard grey cloth but exhibitors are free to cover them with table-cloths in their corporate colours (recommended). The final table is usually used with the two chair to conduct interviews.
Many exhibitors prefer to have some kind of upright display on their display tables in order to show publicity material and to make their stands more visible from a distance. These upright displays have the added advantage of providing some privacy from the public areas.
The upright display shown in this photo is an example of what can be used. This one was made by putting three cork boards together with hinges, and covering the cork areas with felt material. The felt covering over the cork surface means that publicity, photos and information can be attached with either Velcro or drawing pins.
Many exhibitors opt to have a roll-up display inside their stand area. Please note that there is no space either side of the stands or in front of or behind stands for roll-up displays.
All stands are equipped with an electrical socket so laptops and digital photo frames can also be used to display material. Free wifi connection is available to all the recruiters’ stands.
Within the stand area, there is a small table and two chairs for conducting interviews. This is the area which employers use for on-the-spot interviews.
